Great article! My Irish mother was very superstitious and always told me scary stories. She also tried to get me to believe in religion, but I rejected that just as I did her scary superstitions.
When I was a young boy my Mom who was from Texas told me scary stories from the valley had me shaking.
Were any of them... THE GOAT SUCKER??
(I say "chupacabras" like that to try to get my kid to laugh instead of being terrified.)
